For Safety, Performance, and Great Looks, Get Custom Rims and Tires From Your Local Wheel Shop!

Perhaps the most integral, yet overlooked, components of your vehicle are your rims and tires. Get custom, aftermarket wheels for your vehicle and enjoy the best in safety, performance, and aesthetics!

When your car or truck comes straight from the factory, the accompanying run-of-the-mill tires are generically designed to suit the lowest common denominators of drivers and road conditions. Factories churn out the same exact models with the same exact wheels, which means a teenager in icy cold Maine could be driving with the same tires as a family man in southern California. Does that make sense? Of course not! Your car’s tires should be chosen with your driving style and conditions in mind for the ultimate in road safety and performance–and that’s why you should visit your local wheel shop for help!

With customized performance wheels, you’ll be able to dictate how your vehicle’s tires work with you to create a remarkable driving experience. Whether you want increased control on windy country roads or tightened grip for unpredictable winter weather, custom tires will provide you with all the personalized options you need. Most professional wheel shops will help you select the perfect wheels based on your local weather conditions, terrain, and traffic, suggesting which height, width, or tread would be most helpful. Your automotive experts will test your tires before handing them over to ensure they’re giving you a high-quality product, and the majority will also balance and mount them on your vehicle for you.

A High Performance Car With Impeccable Style – The 2011 Jaguar XJ

The XJ from Jaguar has had a reputation throughout the years as a prim and proper luxury vehicle with Old World styling. Previous models were a bit stuffy, old fashioned and not really that exciting, but the 2011 model is a whole different story. This updated version is sleek and modern looking. The new headlights and swooping lines give the car and elegant and almost cat-like look. The XJ is a luxury sedan and goes head to head with the best of the best including the Mercedes S-Class, the Mercedes CLS class, the 7- series from BMW and the LS460 from Lexus.

Automotive shoppers have the option of selecting from two different body styles; wheel base and regular. There are three trim levels for both; XJ, XJ Supercharged and XK Supersport. The XJ model is equipped with an eight cylinder engine with a total output of 385 horsepower and 380 lb feet of torque. The XJ model comes with a 5.0 Liter eight cylinder for 470 horsepower. The top of the line XJ Supersport has a V8 that pumps out 510 hp and can zoom from zero to sixty in just 4.7 seconds. Being constructed out of aluminum keeps this car much lighter than other vehicles in its class. The lithe XJ weighs in at a mere 4,045 pounds. Cargo space is generous and roomy at 15.2 cubic feet.

The interior was designed just as impeccably as the exterior with leather crafted seats and leather upholstered door panels. There is no doubt about it; the interior looks and feels as if it definitely belongs in a $80k car. The standard audio system puts out 600 watts of quality sound. You have the option to upgrade to a 20 speaker audio system manufactured by Bowers & Wilkens which puts out an incredible 1200 watts of sound. Even at fast speeds the interior remains quiet due to double glazed windows. This vehicle handles curves excellently.

Porsche Carrera GT Puts Zoom Under Your Seat

Man’s fascination with large, sleek and fast sports cars continues to haunt designers, manufacturers and even dealers. In fact hundreds of investors are willing to throw money away just to produce the fastest, street legal sports car to fulfill a craving for recognition. What happened to the Porsche Carrera GT is simply a manifestation of one man’s need to prove beyond doubt that he is solely gifted to do the impossible. Porsche did what was right but never taking into consideration that there were others who share the same sentiment.

The first Porsche Carrera GT came out of the assembly facility in Leipzig and made its debut in the American market on January 2004. The original intent was for Porsche to deliver 1,500 units. However by August of 2005, production was cut short due to changing air-bag regulations in the United States. This was according to an official company statement. Nevertheless, the true reasons behind the production cuts, as determined later on by the automotive press, were disappointing sales volumes, high dealer inventory levels and dealer discounts below the MSRP. As of May 2006 only 1,270 GTs were manufactured; 600 of which were sold while some sit in showrooms across the United States.

The GT is powered by a revised 5.7 liter V10 engine that produces 612 DIN (605 SAE) horsepower – 450kW and capable of rapid acceleration from 0 – 60mph in 3.6 seconds, 0 -100mph in 7 seconds and a maximum cruising speed of 205mph (330kph). It comes equipped with a traditional six-speed manual transmission with a birch/ash gear knob. The Carrera is sold in the United States at a base price of $ 444,000 or in Canada at $ 515,000 Canadian dollars. Units available come in 5 basic tones: guards red, fayence yellow, basalt black, GT silver and seal grey.
